A complete control system to control and monitor the entire station, the station is consisting of one deep well submersible pump, six boosters, balancing tank, two  chlorination systems and a diesel generator as backup for the power supply, all the station variables from the different sensors like pressure transducers, level transducers, flow meters, temperature sensors and  chlorine concentration were connected to the main controller SIEMENS S7-300 PLC ,the system also included one touch panel in the operator room, also a GPRS communication capability through a modem is present to monitor the station from long distances.

A communication system was established using MODBUS to communicate with the soft starters to obtain the current values and display it on the touch panel, in addition to Profibus communication to send and receive data from circuit breakers.

All the alarm messages were displayed and stored; also a trending for different variables was available.
